Bisbee began as a mining town but as mining declined the cheap price for land and the beauty of the town caused for the towns rebirth as an artist's colony. The original town of Bisbe, now known as "Old Bisbee" is home to a thriving downtown cultural scene. Old Bisbee is also noted for its architecture, including its victorian houses and elegant art deco courthouse. You will also find a lovely Nogales Bed and Breakfast. Nogales gets its name from the spainish word for walnut due to the many walnut trees that populate the city. Also The Santa Cruz County Historical Courthouse on Morley Street/Court Street has the statue of Lady Justice on top of the building. Lady Justice is supposed to have a blindfold on while holding the scales of justice. This symbolizes that justice is blind. The Nogales version of Lady Justice is not wearing a blindfold. Our next portion of paradice lies in our Sonoita Bed and Breakfast. The riding trails around Sonotia brings you back to a less hectic time.
