- Biosphere II : One of the world's largest living laboratories. Originally designed as a prototype for space colonization. Now houses research facilities and hands-on science exhibits.
- Kitt Peak National Observatory - One of the world's leading observatory complexes. See the world's greatest concentration of telescopes for stellar, solar, and planetary research. Located about 1/2 hour north of Tucson.
- Flandreau Planetarium: at University of Arizona. Enjoy a planetarium show, music laser light show, and science demos.
- Mirror Lab: at University of Arizona. Behind-the-scenes look into cutting-edge technology and revolutionary processes involved in making giant telescope mirrors.
