Just east of Sabino Canyon, at the base of Mt. Lemmon, and not far from Saguaro National Park's east section, Jeremiah Inn is located right where you want to be. Innkeepers happily help with restaurant reservations, tickets for Kartchner Caverns, or suggestions for finding Tucson's best attractions in the time you have alloted.
Jeremiah Inn can be your home base while you explore regions south of Tucson, too. Tombstone's wild and wooly town is only a little over an hour's drive. While you are in Tombstone, be sure to see the Tombstone Courthouse Museum for the real story about the famous shootout.
Fort Huachuca's Army Intelligence Museum and the history of the Buffalo Soldiers make this a great stop. Plan to picnic in Garden Canyon.
Birdwatching in Ramsay Canyon and Miller and Ash Canyon can be easily accomplished in a day trip, and those who get an early start can plan a hike in the spectacular Chiricahua Mountains. How do those rocks stayed balanced?
